About the Cobra 3DP MB Iron Set
The Cobra 3DP MB is a muscleback blade iron built entirely through 3D printing. Each head is constructed from 2,600 layers of 316 stainless steel powder using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), a process that allows internal structures impossible to achieve with traditional forging or casting. The result is a blade that looks and feels traditional but performs differently under the surface.
The key advantage of 3D printing here is the internal lattice structure. By hollowing out portions of the head with a precise lattice pattern, Cobra freed up roughly 60 grams of discretionary weight per head. That weight gets replaced with tungsten positioned low in the heel and toe, raising the MOI well beyond what a conventional muscleback can achieve. The head shape is based on the Cobra King MB but with a slightly thinner topline and a touch more offset, similar to Max Homa's tour specifications.
Feel at impact is buttery soft with clear feedback on strike location. Mis-hits stay on line better than you'd expect from a blade, though distance loss on off-center strikes is still noticeable. The set runs from 5-iron through pitching wedge in a six-club configuration, and at roughly $330 per club, these are among the most expensive irons available. They're made for skilled players who want blade aesthetics and feedback with measurably more stability than any traditional muscleback can offer.
