How It Works

The USGA Handicap Index is calculated using your best score differentials. A differential is computed for each round:

Differential = (113 / Slope Rating) × (Score - Course Rating)

The best differentials are averaged and multiplied by 0.96 to produce your Handicap Index. For the most accurate result, enter up to 20 of your most recent rounds.
