About the TaylorMade P-UDI Utility Iron
The TaylorMade P-UDI is a forged hollow-body utility iron built for players who want a traditional iron look off the tee but need more speed and forgiveness than a standard long iron. The blade length is noticeably shorter than the P-DHY — about five millimeters — with a raised face height, slim topline, and less offset. It looks like an iron, not a hybrid.
The construction pairs a high-speed 4140 steel face with SpeedFoam Air inside the hollow cavity, which dampens vibration and tunes the face for faster ball speeds. Up to 26 grams of tungsten mass sits low and in the toe to stabilize the head on off-center hits. A Thru Slot Speed Pocket in the sole protects ball speed on thin strikes.
Available in 2-iron (17°), 3-iron (20°), and 4-iron (22°) with UST Mamiya Recoil DART shafts. At $250 per club, it's competitively priced against other premium driving irons. Testing shows a mid-low launch with mid spin and strong distance — one of the better shot-shaping utility irons in the category.
