About the Titleist 2025 U505 Utility Iron
The 2025 Titleist U505 Utility Iron got the biggest redesign in the lineup. The old two-piece cap construction is gone — this is now a one-piece hollow body that looks cleaner in the bag and blends with other T-Series irons. The 1-iron and 2-iron lofts keep the wider sole and shallow face from the previous generation, but the 3-iron and 4-iron have been slimmed down into a more compact, iron-like profile.
Inside, a new forged L-Face drives ball speed and launch height. Titleist's Max Impact Technology has been reworked to deliver more consistent speed, spin, and carry regardless of where you hit it on the face. Split high-density tungsten weighting positions the CG for stability and a higher, easier launch — this is one of the highest-launching utility irons available.
At $279 per club, it sits at the premium end of the driving iron market. Available in 16, 18, 20, and 22 degrees, covering everything from a 1-iron through a 4-iron replacement.
