About the Miura K-Grind 2.0 Black QPQ Wedge
The Miura K-Grind 2.0 Black QPQ is a precision wedge built around Miura's signature "knuckle" sole design, first introduced in 1957. The fluted sole features raised ridges along the bottom of the club that reduce turf resistance and prevent the head from twisting through impact. Hand-forged from S25C soft carbon steel through Miura's 14-step manufacturing process in Himeji, Japan, the K-Grind 2.0 delivers the soft, buttery feel that Miura is known for. The Black QPQ finish gives the head a dark, low-glare appearance and adds surface durability.
The 2.0 version updates the original K-Grind with a more modern sole geometry — increased bounce and roll compared to the first generation, plus heel and toe relief for added versatility on open-face shots. The face and grooves are precision-milled rather than stamped, producing tighter tolerances and more consistent spin on full swings and intermediate shots. Bounce angles range from 8 degrees on the 52-degree model up to 13 degrees on the 58-degree, with the 60-degree dropping back to 10 degrees for added shot-making flexibility.
The K-Grind 2.0 performs best in the hands of players who already have a reliable short game and want a wedge that rewards precision. Sand play is a strength — the fluted sole glides through bunkers without digging. Feel on pure contact is outstanding, among the softest wedges available. Mis-hits, however, lack forgiveness, and the premium price point puts these firmly in boutique territory.
